Parents of current 7th graders: There will be an informational meeting about the May 2027 8th Grade Trip to Washington, D.C during Parent-Teacher Conferences on Wednesday, April 1st @7PM in the Group Teaching Room in the high school. The Bloom-Vernon Local Schools will be operating on a 2 hour delay for Tuesday, March 17th.

Dear Parents and Guardians:

It is time for Preschool, Pre-K, and Kindergarten registration. Again, this year we will be registering online. If you have a student who needs to be registered for Preschool, Pre-K, or Kindergarten, use this link: https://www.bvjeeps.org/page/preschool-pre-k-kindergarten-registration. If you are on a mobile device, the link is at the top of the page. If you are on a PC, Chromebook, or Mac, you can fill out the form on the page or click the link at the top. There has been a change in the law for students entering Kindergarten. Students entering Kindergarten must be 5 years old on or before August 19th, 2026. This is the first day of school for the 26/27 school year.

After registering your student, someone from the elementary school will contact you to schedule a screening day with our staff. Those dates will be April 23rd or April 24th. This process may take some time, so please be patient with our office staff.

This is a reminder to parents of students interested in doing College Credit Plus (CCP) next school year. Students must apply for this program each Spring to participate the following school year. Applying includes turning in their Letter of Intent to Participate, their Mature Content Form and their Counseling Form (proof they went to a CCP Info Meeting before entering the program). They also must complete their online CCP application(s) for any college/university they wish to participate through. The application and Letter of Intent Deadline is April 1st. This falls on a day we don't have school, so please return your forms to the high school office early. Please let the high school guidance office know if you have any questions or need assistance helping your student apply for the program.

Congratulations to two of our South Webster Engineering Entrepreneurship teams on each winning $1000 at the Glockner Dare to Dream Competition held at the SSU Kricker Innovation Center.

The Jeep Travelers are selling St. Paddy's Day candy grams. All orders must be turned in and paid for by Wednesday, March 11. You can order online or return the paper copy sent home with your student.

There will be no Academic Enrichment on Tuesday evening (3/3) to allow students and staff the opportunity to travel to the basketball tournament game in Chillicothe.

We are so proud of these incredibly talented young women. Rhyan Alkire, Chloe Milligan, and Violet Edwards all had pieces selected for inclusion in the University of Rio Grande's high school art exhibit. Approximately 140 pieces were submitted from 14 area schools. Only 45 works were selected for display. It is an honor to be selected, but both Chloe and Rhyan also received awards. Chloe took home Second Place, and Rhyan won Best of Show! Congratulations Ladies! We are proud to have you represent SWHS.
