Bloom-Vernon Local Schools will be closed Tuesday, December 16th. High school students, finals will now be Wednesday and Thursday.

All basketball games scheduled for this evening versus and at Minford have been postponed. Makeup dates will be posted when Mr. Havens lets us know!

FAFSA Night for seniors and their parents is this Wednesday night from 6-7 PM in the high school Group Teaching Room. Parents and students can get help completing the 2026-2027 FAFSA from a financial aid representative. The FAFSA can help students get much-needed financial aid to help pay for college or adult training programs.

Completing the FAFSA goes much quicker if you create your FSA ID ahead of time (both student and main contributing parent):

On December 8th, Addie Smith from WSAZ, a South Webster graduate, came to speak to Sandi Dutiel’s Journalism class. The students learned about writing, reporting, and producing in broadcast journalism. Addie was a wealth of information, and the students are looking forward to seeing her in her element at the WSAZ studios in April.

Sharee Price from the SCOESC came to South Webster High School on December 9th to present the Varsity Quiz Bowl Team with the Southern Ohio Academic Competition League Runner-Up trophy. The team’s regular season record is 12-1 heading into tournament play.

Coach Corey Claxon just sent us word that Hunter Barnard has made the All-Region Soccer Team by the United Coaches Association. This is a national regional award, not a state regional award. Coach Claxon also let us know that Hunter is the first player from South Webster to be selected for this honor. Congratulations Hunter...GO JEEPS!
