Select Sound will bring their annual Cabaret tradition to the community tomorrow, Saturday, May 10th, starting at 7 p.m. They will be celebrating the last 50 years of Broadway. Adult tickets are $10, and student tickets are $5. We hope to see many of you there tomorrow evening!

South Webster High School Annual Alumni Banquet
Plans are being finalized for the annual South Webster High School Alumni Banquet. The event will take place on Saturday, May 24, 2025, with dinner served from 4:30-6:30 in the high school cafeteria. The program will begin at 7:00 p.m.
This year, we will honor the classes of 1975 and 2000. We will also welcome the Class of 2025 as our honored guests and newest members of the Alumni Association.
The menu will consist of chicken and noodles, mashed potatoes, green beans, salad, roll, dessert, and beverage. Price will remain $20 per dinner.
South Webster High School alumni may submit detailed, written nominations for South Webster High School graduates for consideration into next year’s Hall of Fame.
Officers of the Alumni Association have worked diligently coordinating efforts to raise money for scholarship purposes. If you wish to make a donation to the scholarship fund, it would be most appreciated. You may send your contributions to:

Softball also picked up a game @ Portsmouth on Thursday (5/8) starting at 7pm.

Don't forget that the Band Spring Fling Car Show is still going on tomorrow, starting at 8 a.m. If the forecast holds and they cannot have the actual car show due to rain, the band and the band boosters will still be selling breakfast at 8 a.m. and lunch at 11 a.m. Menu items include biscuits and gravy and smashburgers for lunch. There will be some free activities for the kids either way. Have a great day.

This is just a reminder that there is a mandatory meeting for 8th graders traveling to Washington, D.C., on Sunday, April 27th, at 2:30 p.m. in the Group Teaching Room.

The Bloom-Vernon Local School Board would like to thank all applicants for their interest in the vacated seat due to the loss of respected board member Charlie Queen. After review of applications and discussion the board has appointed Ryan Bouts as the fifth board member.
Just a reminder Jeep Nation, no school on Friday, April 18th for Good Friday. We will be in session on Monday, April 21st for a scheduled makeup day.
It is with great sadness that the Bloom-Vernon Local School District must share the news that Mr. Rodney Barnett passed away earlier today. Mr. Barnett has been a part of the school district for over 50 years. He served in a variety of roles, ranging from English teacher to the "Voice of the Jeeps" and everything in between. Our district has lost a huge part of our family with his passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with Sue, Kristin, Jesse, Alyssa, Asa, and all that knew him. He will be greatly missed.
