Community Canned Food Collection and Dinner

When: Wednesday, November 5, 2025
Time: 5:00-7:00
Where: Bloomfreewill Baptist Church AND the Vernon Fire Department (the one closer to Vernon Park)

Hands of Hope, a small group of community members, will be providing meals and food boxes to members of our community who need some extra help with food during these challenging and unpredictable times.

Each family member will get a take home tray of food for supper on Wednesday evening AND a box of food you can use for easy access to meals for the rest of the week.

Here is a list of food items we would like to have donated and dropped off at one of the Bloom-Vernon Schools, no later than Tuesday at dismissal time of school. We realize this is short notice but we will work diligently to make it happen. Easy open pop up cans are best. Congratulations Braden Mantell on a fantastic cross country season!

Congratulations to our Lady Jeeps defeating Valley 3-2 yesterday evening. They will be playing Newark Catholic at Winland Memorial Gymnasium, 1701 BLUE AVE, ZANESVILLE,43701-2457 at 1 p.m on Saturday. We also want to congratulate our soccer team on a phenomenal season and for representing Jeep Nation so well this year. Keep your heads up, gentlemen. You all played your hearts out every game, and we are all so proud of you.

Members of our high school IMPACT team met with grades 2-6 during their special yesterday. They taught them about why we celebrate Red Ribbon Week and how to surround themself with people who encourage them, tell them the truth, and make them laugh. These things are just pieces of the puzzle to staying drug-free. The elementary kids loved it, some even saying, “high schoolers are SO cool!!!” It was a proud day to see each of these students come out of their shell (some more than others) to help lead the kids. Thanks for allowing them to miss class today to serve as mentors to our elementary kiddos!

Lady Jeeps won off an ace to beat the Lady Indians 3-2. That is grit ladies. Remember that win and continue to do your best!

Mr. Havens contacted the OHSAA and worked with officials to get the Regional Semi-Final volleyball game moved to Wellston, starting at 6 p.m. on Wednesday. We want to thank Mr. Havens, Valley Local, Wellston, and the OHSAA for the accommodation.

With the trifecta complete soccer won 4-0 over Lynchburg-Clay. What a day to be a Jeep! Third District Championship in a row!

Big Congrats to Braden Mantell! 🔴⚫️ Braden finished 4th at the Regional Meet and has officially qualified to compete at STATE next week! Go Jeeps!! Also, medaling was Brayden Weist. Congratulations to all of our cross country athletes on a fantastic season.
