March 26th Update

Good morning Jeep Nation and Happy Monday! We hope you had a great weekend and are ready for another week. We have some news and reminders for everyone this morning. Let’s get started.

No school for students that day and conferences will begin at 2 p.m. Conferences will end at 8:00 p.m. and Easter Break runs from Thursday, March 29-Monday, April 2nd. Our schools will resume classes April 3rd.

Our elementary school students took off for Tim Horton’s Camp this morning. They will be coming back on Wednesday.

The elementary book fair is next week and it runs Tuesday-Friday. We will have some live streaming from the event next week!

Mrs. Darcee Claxon has some information for Parent/Teacher Conferences this week:

We will be hosting a silent auction the night of Parent/Teacher Conferences on March 28th. The proceeds will benefit our trip to Europe in the summer of 2019. If any of you would like to donate an item or know a business that might be interested, please let me know. The students are also getting donations/items to be auctioned off. If you would like to donate and item for a specific student, please let me know. Whatever bid is placed on that item, that money will be paid to their account as a payment towards their trip. The money will not go directly to them. Otherwise, the money will be divided evenly between those students participating in the fundraiser. Currently, we have 24 students who are signed up and making payments to go and a few others who are fundraising in hopes of going.

Tracy Collins, our librarian, will be hosting a financial literacy event on April 19th for any of our seniors that wish to participate. It will involve how to budget, juggle payments and how to balance needs and wants. The event begins at 8:30 a.m. and will run until 11:00 a.m. If you would like more information leading up to the event some handy activities can be found here: http://moneyandstuff.info/

Keek’s Corner:

Our condolences go out to Mr. Gabe Havens with the loss of his beloved Blue Devils from Duke last night. Better luck next year! GO KANSAS!

We are a little over 4 weeks from Prom and the Junior class is working hard to make this year just as amazing as the South Webster Tradition! Keep your calendars open for April 27th as the Grand March will begin at 6:30 p.m.

Looking ahead:

Book Fair-April 3-6

Health Fair-April 18

Mad City Money-April 19

So many events, updates and even a little humor from Keek. In all honesty it’s great being a Jeep isn’t it? So many things for our students to do, be involved in and to participate in. We will be back throughout the week for reminders and maybe even a little bit more news. Have a great week Jeep Nation and as always...GO JEEPS!
