From Mr. Marc Kreischer, Superintendent:

Good Afternoon Bloom-Vernon School Community.

We appreciate the effort and dedication of our teachers, students, and parents as we continue to provide educational opportunities for our students during this difficult time.  There is no doubt actually having our students here would be best for everyone, but in spite of the obvious challenges our students are still being educated. Thank you for all of your efforts.

We are asking parents and students to contact the school offices if they are unable to access educational materials online.  We ask that you contact the elementary or high school between 8 am-12 pm tomorrow to request hard copies of the academic materials.  For more information, please contact the elementary at 778-2339 or the high school at 778-2320 tomorrow morning.

Yesterday we were able to distribute nearly 900 sack lunches to students.  We will again be providing sack lunches to ALL students at the 8 locations throughout the district tomorrow from 1:00-1:30 pm. The locations are:

  • Bloom-Vernon Elementary Parking Lot

  • Union Church

  • Vernon Park

  • Intersection at Bloom Lane & Bloom Furnace

  • New Globe

  • Germany Hollow Church

  • Ashley Corner at the Old Store

  • Scioto Furnace Post Office

Bloom Free-Will Baptist Church will be handing out hot dog dinners this evening to any one in need from 5-7 pm.  The church is located on State Route 140 near Scioto Furnace.

Please continue to follow the district website or Facebook page for the latest information.  Have a good evening.
