On Tuesday night the Jeeps defeated New Boston 62-47.. We were without Shiloah, and got off to a slow start, trailing by 1 at the half. We came out much more motivated 2nd half and pulled away.
Matthew led us with 22 points, hitting 4 3's and coming out of his shooting slump. Shane had 19, including 11 in the 4th quarter alone. Alek had 12 points and great defense on their best player. Our scoring was rounded out with Jacob Witter scoring 5, his best varsity game as a Jeep.... and Levi Murphy with 2 points, providing valuable minutes.
On Friday Night our kids really came out motivated and jumped on top of Northwest 22-0 before they even scored. The final ended up 69-37, with our JV playing the entire 4th quarter.
Shiloah led us with 19 points and 3 terrific dunks, two of them being alley oops. Shane had 11 points and 7 assists. Alek had 12 points and as normal, terrific defense. Matthew had 13 points and was great handling the ball for us.
The rest of our scoring included Jacob Ruth with 2, Andrew Smith with 2, Dallas Copas with 2, Jacob Witter with 2, Devyn Coriell with 5, and Levi Murphy with 1.
We play again tomorrow night at home against a very solid 15-5 Portsmouth team.We round out the regular season this Friday @ Oak Hill, another great test for us. Both will be great challenges for us heading into the tournament next week.
