7th and 8th Grade Girls vs. Oak Hill I and II

Our Jr. High Lady Jeeps concluded their regular season with a rare home-home series vs. the Oak Hill Lady Oaks with a pair of games on Monday and another pair on Wednesday. The 7th graders clinched at least a share of the SOC Regular Season Championship with 2 wins vs. the Acorned Athletes from Jackson County that left the opponents swaying in the wind. Our 8th grade fought hard but found the Oak Hill team to be a tough nut to crack on the hardwood in our 2 losses. We start tournament play this Saturday vs. Minford with the 7th Grade at 11AM and 8th Grade at 2:30PM.

  • South Webster 7th Grade Jeeps Emerge Victorious Against Oak Hill
  • Bri Claxon scored 10 points to lead South Webster 7th Grade to a 28-26 victory over Oak Hill on Monday. On a free throw from Kelsey McKnight, South Webster sealed their victory in the fourth quarter.
  • South Webster wrapped up the first half in the lead at 15-13 following a 9-0 run. South Webster 7th Grade cemented their lead in the third quarter, scoring nine points.Kelsey McKnight put up 9 points for the Jeeps. Faith Maloney hit two three-pointers and scored nine points total.
  • South Webster 7th Grade Jeeps Beat Oak Hill
  • Bri Claxon scored 18 points to lead South Webster 7th Grade to a 39-27 victory over Oak Hill on Wednesday. Claxonled the way for South Webster's offense with 18 points, including 10 points during the second period.
  • Kelsey McKnight made it into double digits, scoring 12 points for South Webster 7th Grade (6-for-10). Also chipping in for South Webster 7th Grade were Brooklyn Blanton (5 points) and Faith Maloney (4 points).
Kelsey had her best game of the year. Not only did she score 12, she provided excellent defense and rebounding to cut down the Oaks in the 2nd half. Brooklyn and Bri were outstanding with their on-the-ball defense, as we have come to expect from them.
  • South Webster Jeeps 8th Grade Fall Short Against Oak Hill
  • In spite of a solid performance from Maddie Cooper with eight points, South Webster fell to Oak Hill 45-26. Also contributing for South Webster were Liz Shupert (6 points), Maecee Johnson (6 points), Belle Musser (4 points), and Haley Charles (2 points). Our girls fell behind early but kept playing hard and cut the lead to 10 in the 4th quarter before an Oak Hill run to end the game.
  • South Webster Jeeps 8th Grade Lose To Oak Hill
  • Despite Maecee Johnson putting eight points on the board, South Webster lost to Oak Hill 50-26. The 8th Grade finished the first half well, scoring a game-high 10 points during the second quarter.
  • Johnson blazed a trail for South Webster's offense with eight points, including four points during the third period. Also helping the effort for South Webster were Maddie Cooper (8 points), Haley Charles(6 points), and Liz Shupert (3 points).
