From Ethan Bloomfield, Student Staff Reporter:

Over the weekend, on September 15-17, our very own Cross Country team embarked on a 27+ mile journey through the woods at Fort Hill Christian Camp in the middle of scenic nowhere, Ohio. Even when given maps, the team found their way onto the buckeye trail almost immediately (a trail that goes the entire span of Ohio), but since it was only a half mile out of our way, we finished the run with ease. We worked for three runs a day, each no less than 3 and a half miles. Through all the hills and all the trails, our legs were completely shot. Still though, we had the time for a little prank or two.

The boys arrived at their cabin on day 2 to find… a little bit of toilet paper. Retaliation? We didn’t even have to. The girls’ shoes went “mysteriously” missing due to a certain college-age guest at camp. They were not happy campers to say the least.

On the trails, we saw the picturesque landscape surrounding the camp. We not only headed to Serpent Mound as a team, but we found a cave and went inside, scaled a 1300 ft. incline and we bonded in our shared tiredness in the sunset on that mountain. Cross Country camp was long and difficult, but it was rewarding. We pushed what we thought we were capable of, and had a good time despite our tired legs and lack of internet.

Thank you for that Ethan. Good luck to our Cross-Country Team this weekend at Green!

We warned you there was so much news this week. That's a great problem to have. We will see you later in the week with more news. Have a great day and as always...GO JEEPS!
