August 23rd Update

Good morning Jeep Nation and we are back! We hope that your first day back to school was awesome and we hope you are ready for another day. We apologize that we are a day late, but of course yesterday was a whirlwind. So many students happy to see their friends and teachers getting acquainted with their new students is always a great way to start the year. Here is the news for the week!

Soccer:

Our soccer team faces Minford on Thursday at 5:30 p.m. The contest will be played at home.

Volleyball:

Our Lady Jeeps face the Eastern Lady Eagles on Thursday here at home. That contest starts at 5:30 p.m.

Abby Ruby Memorial Run

The Abby Ruby Memorial Run will be held this weekend at 9:00 a.m. start at the elementary school. Registration begins at 8:00 a.m. You can still sign up for the race up to an including race day. The cost is $20.00. Contact Tim Conley at 740-778-2154 or 740-250-3632 or Sue Barnett at 740-285-9880.

We now have a story from Mrs. Collier from over the summer:

South Webster students had the opportunity this summer to attend the first Scioto County VEX Robotics Camp held at the new advanced manufacturing campus of the Scioto County Career and Technical Center. The 3-day camp taught students to build and program a robot in preparation to compete in robotics competitions. Sixteen teams of students from Scioto County competed in this summer's camp competition, with Mark Oiler and Jonah Martin ending the camp in 1st place.  More information can be found in the Portsmouth Daily Times article "Scioto Tech Advances Scioto County".

Jonah and Mark's Picture can be found below. Great work Mrs. Collier!

The lunch menu will be updated through August some time before 10 a.m. we again apologize for any inconvenience.

That’s it Jeep Nation. If you have any information to share just message us here on Facebook, email or call one of the schools. Have a great week and as always…GO JEEPS!
