Good Evening Bloom-Vernon School Community.

I would like to update everyone with the latest information regarding the upcoming school closing.  I appreciate everyone’s patience as this continues to be a fluid situation that requires us to remain flexible.  Parents, staff, and students please listen to this entire message. After the governor’s press conference and recommendations today we will be closing school for students beginning tomorrow, Monday, March 16th through Friday, April 3rd

School staff is asked to report tomorrow from 8am-2pm to complete preparations for the delivery of instruction over the next 3 weeks.  Some materials have already been sent home and any student that has not received their materials and technology will receive it tomorrow.

Staff will be asked to have all hard copy materials ready by 1:30 tomorrow.  Staff that will be utilizing technology to deliver instruction over this time will not have to send out all material tomorrow.

At 2:00 tomorrow bus drivers will run their regular routes to deliver hard copy packets and technology to students that do not have them.  School staff will also assist with this process. Parents and students are asked to watch for the buses from 2pm-4pm tomorrow. Open enrolled students will be asked to pick up their materials at the school between 2pm-4pm.

During this time staff will be available to respond to student and parent emails for questions concerning assignments during regular school hours.  Many teachers will also be utilizing google classroom and various social networking platforms they have been utilizing throughout the year already.

We are also making preparations to make available sack lunches over the next few weeks.  We are hoping to have drop off sites two times a week to pick up these lunches. Further details concerning this process will be forthcoming.

The latest updated information will be passed along on the district website, district Facebook page, and through the all call system.

Thanks again for your cooperation and understanding through this difficult time for everyone.
